In spite of the difficulties I faced at the beginning, it was very interesting to work with the Moodle. The training sessions that we attended helped us to easily work and master the whole issue.
I think the Moodle system is flexible and accommodated different teaching methodologies. The scientific information that is now available on the net helps a lot when working with this system. For me, the first course that I put on the Moodle was a graduate course in my specific field, Plant Tissue Culture, which allowed me to add different scientific materials. Now I am working on my third course on the Moodle. Among the points that should be focused on here is the assignments and exams. I noticed that the majority of the students copied the same answer, which in some cases was wrong. The students need to be encouraged to work with the system. I tried to push them in this direction. For instance, last week, I assigned a written quiz on an attached video on the Moodle, one week in advance. I was then surprised when some students indicated that they couldn't open the Moodle. There might be some problems with the net work, but some students still don’t use the system. I do believe that the main factors which make the system successful are the willingness, training, follow up and the benefits of e-learning.
Finally I would like to express my thanks to the university administration, as well as to the staff working with the center for their excellent professional work and their patience.
